The scale model has a fuselage made from composites with composites and balsawood used for the wings and empanage sections. |

| Kiewiet UAV - flight testing: This UAV has a wingspan of 2.5m, overall length of 1.2m and maximum take-off weight of 4.0 kg. It uses an electric motor with a flight endurance of 1 hr. The wings have a carbon/polystyrene/balsawood sandwich construction, the fuselage consists of a fiberglass tube whilst the V-tail section is a carbon/balsawood sandwich construction. |
